THE CURRICULUM

Eight Weeks. Six Acumen. Nothing Wasted.

Every day counts. You will work in the workshop – welding, wiring, plumbing, construction – getting your hands on tools and materials that most people your age have never touched. You will train physically through running, circuits, strength work and endurance challenges that build real fitness, not gym vanity. You will earn a certified first aid qualification. In the field, you will learn to read landscapes, identify wildlife, understand conservation and navigate the bush on foot and on horseback. Behind a lens, you will shoot, edit and produce content using professional techniques and tools including AI-assisted workflows. You will stand up and present, pitch an idea, manage a brief and learn how to read a financial statement. You will cook, host, debate and lead – all in an environment where the standard does not drop and the schedule does not slow down.

WHY THIS COURSE?

What Eight Weeks Can Actually Change

Eight weeks is not seven months. It is not supposed to be. LifeCamp is for people who want the full Quest experience at a pace that matches their timeline – whether that is before a January university intake, during a semester break, or as the first serious test of what they are made of. You leave with a first aid certification, practical skills across six disciplines and the kind of physical and mental resilience that only comes from structured, daily challenge. You leave having lived with an international group, managed real responsibility from day one, and discovered what you are like when comfort is removed and standards are high.

The setting does the rest. Eight weeks in the Zimbabwean wilderness – camping, hiking, riding, climbing in places like the Matobo Hills and Chimanimani – strips away the noise and replaces it with clarity. Participants consistently describe the same thing: they arrive uncertain and leave knowing what they want, what they are good at and what they need to work on. That self-knowledge is rare at any age. At eighteen, it is a serious advantage. For university, for career decisions, for life. Eight weeks. Proof, not promises.

Ready for the Ultimate Life Experience?

“These simple experiences have become ones that I value, bringing me a deep sense of happiness and appreciation.
I’ve learned to take a step back and allow space for others to adjust. Sometimes, people may take longer than expected, and it’s easy to get frustrated, but I’ve realised that being patient not only helps to keep the peace, but it also gives others the time they need to fulfil their responsibilities, which ultimately benefits everyone.”

Jack, United Arab Emirates 2024

He’s been moulded into a great young man, who is very independent, skilful and now being able to communicate better with his peers and adults around him. His CV from Quest has made applying for jobs and apprenticeships in the UK by far much easier. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the part you played in our son’s life.

LifeCamp 2019

When I joined Quest, I quickly learned that success in high-stress environments requires a different attitude. I had to adapt and understand that my teammates’ perspectives were just as important as mine. By fostering mutual respect, I became more reliable and effective in my role. This shift in mindset not only improved my performance but also strengthened my relationships with colleagues.

If I had to sum up Quest in one word, it would be ‘perspective’. I have a new perspective of myself. I have a new perspective on every decision I make, why I make it and where my intentions and my attitude lie. My perspective on challenge has developed, my perspective on things I take for granted has shifted. But perhaps the most significant change I’ve experienced has been my perspective on the life I want to live.”

LifeCamp 2022

I’ve learnt a lot about my fellow Questors and created friendships that will last a lifetime, but I’ve learnt a lot about myself and what makes me tick. I’ve learnt what triggers me and what makes me happy. I have a fire inside of me, fueled by fulfillment and confidence, something that’s new to me. I will do my best to not let it dim, over the next years to come I’ll try my best in everything I do.
